Too bad I live on the West Coast now! That's one of the few things I liked about living in NY state - the flights were cheaper and shorter to Europe. Best I found from Portland to AMS in December was with Delta ($1050 non-stop). After my two stop trip last year (PDX to Chicago to Dublin) I vowed I would never fly to Europe again unless it was non-stop!

i feel you , i hate stopping, right now jfk-ams ns klm/delta is $909.56

i gotta go to detriot on the trip in...and i gotta stop in minniapolis what evrthefuck that is on the way home..ooo goody..i get to meet new customs officers...blah fuck em

Wow, that's steep from the east coast! I'd probably make a stop at that price difference as well. Last year my 2-stop flight cost $775 (March '10), but jet fuel has gone up quite a bit - the price of $1050 I found may be gone already - they only offer so many flights at discounted prices. I won't be able to purchase my ticket until 9/14 so hopefully I will be able to find something at around $1100-1150. Sounds ridiculous, but it's the only way to get from here to there!

it is steep but the stop over kills me since i cant sleep no matter what on a plane, so i like the nonstops
but i paid 789 for my flt, my frind has to pay the 910 for his flt (if he comes)

Yep, the Mrs and I got for 67 return each from belfast international, with a flying time of a bout 70-80 minutes.

I only had to experience customs in Detroit once to decide I will avoid Detroit at any cost
