I was thinking about buying a couple of silver coins for my collection while in Amsterdam. I was thinking I might find some things that are cheaper and easier to find than in the USA. But someone pointed out that you have a VAT there on silver coins, so likely not cheaper. They suggested I bring some coins with me to sell over there.
Does anyone know about this? What silver bullion would be popular? Are private sales subject to the VAT ? Also, anyone want to trade me for something I don't have? I have a nice asst to choose from, including Libertads, Koalas, Takus, ASEs, Maples, etc.

Re: Buying/Selling silver
beach bud...i have silver coins ..either sterling ,junk silver (usa) or .999 rounds and such.... most of it is sports figures like the highland mint and such. 1 oz rounds and cards made of .999 silver.i know that is usually not what numismatists want....uh oh silver must be a bubble 2 silver aficionados at the same toke and talk....i have some palladium ,gold, and very very little platinum
Re: Buying/Selling silver
Not into numismatic coins. My collection is govt issue bullion-grade coins, like Maple Leafs, Koalas, American Silver Eagle, Philharmonic, etc. Some sterling like Belize and Panama. One example of each variety, no dates or garded coins for me. No Pd/PT at all.
