I think it might depend on how wasted your dog gets and if he/she can hold it together if you get pulled over..
I'm sorry that really killed me. And I'm stone cold sober..... very funny. Brilliant  but it's a tough decision when it's so far away. About time the UK wised up too but don't see any chance of that any time soon. Reason seems to play no part.

As to when I'll stop, well I'm on and off anyway generally except when in the Dam but if I'm not really worrying about health risks - I do smoke the occasional pure spliff but mostly vape - then the only real priority is keeping it away from my family life (for now at least).

And FBN 64? I can scarcely believe it. You always seem so cool. Kudos to you. But there's another thing you see: body and mind are one and I feel it keeps you young in the mind, being kind of amazed and awed by things that happen and by great experiences. The youngest guy (in the mind) that I know is over 70 and smokes weed. Could be a lesson there.

Peace

Well I'm past 64 so -----YES.

twinkles commented: I can't figure out how to do those lovely pink quotes from posts....
"So the reason I had thought about taking my dog (a German shepherd) is that she and I have traveled a great deal over the years, attending dog shows and training sessions. So for a long solo drive taking her with me just seems natural...."

Can you time it so she's in heat....to distract the drug sniffing dogs? :)
Or teach her that Hwy Bulls legs taste really good?

Mailing it has big risks and so does Nebraska where their highways bulls look for clues like:
1. Colorado license plate means you are likely exporting MJ to another state
2. Nebraska license plate means you probably are bringing back CO bud
3. License plate from any state besides CO or Nebraska, you obviously are coming back from a MJ run to CO.

Actually, Nebraska does such things as :
1. on the freeway with 2 lanes each direction, if you stay in the left lane for 1 second longer than necessary, it's time to pull you over and shale you down
2. they have put signs on the freeway like: "Drug enforcement checkpoint 2 miles ahead" where there is an exit 1 mile ahead. Then, they shake down all cars that took that exit----sneaky bastards!!!

I know someone that got nailed in Nebraska with the left lane too long trick and they even confiscated her High Times Magazine as "drug paraphernalia" , along with the CO herbs WTF!!!

Hey All

Really interesting (though not good with the sly tactics) to hear how things are developing in the US with some states legalising rec and med cannabis, some just medical, some not at all. Complex picture. Not sure if this is better or worse than UK. Better obviously if you live in a state which has legalised, otherwise not so sure.

And FlybyNite I apologise, that was an old post of yours I was reading from several years back, so without the need for math even more impressed....

I think in truth even if we go away from the herb, we probably all will return when we get older and I have to agree that it seems to rejuvenate and keep people young in mind and body as stated above.....

Glad someone re-ignited this thread, lots of food for thought.

Peace

I went away from mj for 35 years just because i had no source, buying on the street was scarey.
Now I'm back because I can buy some legally in another state and pretty safely get it home.

The more I research cannabis, the more it becomes obvious it's the world's best "health and wellness supplement" for any age and especially as you get older.

In the US it is great that some states are legal BUT still a long way to go and some states f#ck it up royally, like my state. We have medical mj only with tiny list of qualifying condition like:
Cancer---not good enough. Cancer and terminal....not good enough. Cancer and documentation that you have less than a year to live.....OK.
Next step....$200 fee to get med card. Next step...extremely expensive med mj as no flowers are allowed, only expensive concentrates from one of only 2 vendors so no competition/ high prices.
Loooong way to go
