I really want to try Horse meat in the dam. Is the whiskey one good fly by nite? Do they have ostrich in Amsterdam?
Kangaroo is the next big Export out of Oz..remember seing the gouvernment pushing ppl to start eating more of them since over 20 000 000 of them in the country!!

I'd imagine you'd be disappointed by Coco's 'roo burger. I was, and i've never tried the real deal in Oz. :(
Didn't really taste of anything and the texture was rotten, very wet, but more like water than meat juices.
I've found the rest of their food decent though.

Albert Heijn definitely sells packaged horsemeat, not sure about fresh.

I'll stick to ham.

It was in the chilled meats section, with the beef etc......shrink wrapped.

It's called paardenvlees in dutch. I think it's smoked but not in the good way

We all eat horse!
The supermarket chain Tesco, the largest UK market has taken its frozen beef patties in the UK and Ireland as a precautionary measure after it was found horse and pig DNA in meat after a review of the Irish authorities three food processors in these two countries. Four other chains, Iceland, Lidl, Aldi and Dunnes, who work with these processors, have also decided to withdraw their brands. Irish Minister for Agriculture, Simon Coveney, has now specified that the origin of the meat may be in Spain and the Netherlands.
The horse's DNA was detected in two brands sold by Tesco: The Everyday Value and quarter pound of meat. In the first case, the analysis indicated that 29% of exisitía horsemeat in relation to the contents of beef. They were also found traces of pig DNA. As to the second mark, the horse DNA levels were much lower. Both products were purchased from Irish food processor Silvercrest meals.
