Have to agree with you "ftcarer", but it is a shame that we need to have the lights on to curb people getting their stuff trashed for no other reason than to give some prick some sort of buzz. It just costs you, the wife and the other people on the street money, time and stress, sorting the mess left behind. So the cost of keeping the lights on to act as a deterent, giving you all some peace of mind back that these wee bastards are determined you're not to have it seems, is by far the better option. Sad but true.

So we are now up to 2 house fronts, 15+ cars in our street ,more on the surrounding roads , the car's damage ranges from number plates sprayed to entire bonnet & both wings :x the back wall to a whole street of houses & numerous street signs  basically a trail of paint for a mile or so . We were even told this afternoon that they had been spraying the local petrol station , so if they have not been caught on camera somewhere , I won't know wtf to think :?

If nothing happens I may be back with a - courts are crap thread

@artymac , I wish that we didn't need them on either , but lights on at night , no damage from vandalism in 8 yrs , 2wks without & all this shit :x the only non-main roads with lighting now are those with cyclepaths .
Weirdly , some of us have been thinking " i'm glad it wasn't just me " then feeling bad about that .
The only good thing about all of this is, i've been speaking with neighbours i've barely said a word to before , a couple I don't even remember seeing before   everyones been saying that they will look out more for eveyone else :)

Crossbow - stay up all night with lights out in your room to catch em - give no warning. Done. As my mate's late father used to say "What we need is a good war to clean out the garbage."
