October - March/April (not holidays/cup)
Anyone have good experiences with off season deals? I did a few random dates 6+ months from now in January and it came back $700 R/T That is a pretty low price, but I seen price claims on channels.nl of like $400 R/T but I dunno about all that... newsletters at last minute was their claims. Wondering if anyone here has done it is all. Thanks!

My cheapest airfare ever was an email offer.
$219 total round trip.
This was back in the early 90's.
700 doesn't sound bad if that's total.
If you have fees and taxes to add it would be close to 900.
I really think the airlines should be made to advertise the total cost.
Super cheap sounding fares can escalate quickly with fees and taxes.
They know these costs, why not give it to us, the customer, right
up front. Seems almost bait and switch to me.
Enjoy

Depends which coast you're flying from. When I went to the Dam the first time in 1991, I flew from JFK and paid $400 RT on KLM. I seriously doubt you'd ever find something that low again unless you have a relative working for the airline! If you could find anything less than $700 RT even from the east coast, I would jump on it. You possibly could find something that low if you made a stop in Dublin, possibly Reykjavik (if flying Iceland Air), or somewhere else in Europe like Frankfurt or Paris. Jet fuel prices are up something like 40% since last year alone. I just booked a non stop flight from Portland, OR for $1092 in December.

The days of sub $500 airfare from the US are all but gone. Cheapest airfare from Texas has been somewhere around $900 for the last several months for fall/winter travel. Fares might even creep higher as Delta has announced its reducing capacity to Europe.
Peace
