Ahhhh.. greyfriars the pub.... Worth the visit as its named after a dog lol...
Sat in milnes on rose st...... Feck me.... The beers not cheap up north lol
Might have to move this to trip reports lol

if you're still about on friday go for a pint in the Scotsman Lounge on Cockburn Street (it's pronounced cOburn street ya buggers

)
not sure if cisco's mentioned it but the newly refurbed national museum is well worth a visit on chambers st and surgeons halls on south bridge for something a bit different.

Thanks burgh, the wife has now added the museum to tomorrows list.
Gonna miss Friday as we be flying home but managed a few pubs tonight on the rose street strip with a couple of friends who popped over from inverness for the day to meet us
Feeling nice and merry so looks like time to head to hotel..

Aye no problem, make sure you go the the 'learning zone' or whatever its called. Bit for the younger visitors but its a good laugh
Top tip for lunch is the mosque kitchen if you're into curry. Used to be actually part of the mosque but its now in an actual restaurant on nicolson square. Best curry in Edinburgh angst pretty cheap too

If it's a decent day try get lunch at The Tower restaurant (it's attached to the museum on Chambers Street) great view of the castle from the terrace

A beauty of a day and sat in the sun in the botanical gardens. Gotta say edinburgh is a lovely place.

Good wee pub that. I booked out the alcove on the right of the bar for my birthday last year. Good selection of whisky!
