Cell phone providers?

Post by Styl Eli »

I would like to know which cell phone providers there are from Europe? I have an unlocked phone and would like to hook up a Sim card while in France so I can call back to Canada and not have to pay crazy Canadian prices.

Does anyone have suggestions?

Where should I buy a Sim card?

I am not sure that one covers his question...

Its a major pain in the ass to travel between countries here, even if you have a local number. Costs skyrocket once you cross the border into another EU state.

Styl, you should be able to get a SIM card in any telecom shop in France, or even a tabac. It should cost about 10 euros and come with some minutes loaded. Calls to Canada will be less than using your Canadian provider. I use Lebara for cheap calls here in NL, and it seems they are available in France

9 cents a minute, its on the website :D Here the SIM is 10 euros and you get 5 euros of credit included. You can buy more minutes from any tabac (or where you bought the card).
