Cheap hotels

Post by stevey »

Hey guys : )

I was just wondering if anybody could help me locating cheap hotels in Amsterdam. There are two of us and we are really trying to find a cheap and cheerful place. Does anybody have any recomendations? We dont mind being a little out of the centre and were looking to pay around 22 euro's a night :D

Or can anybody tell us a part of the city which to look at for cheap accommodation.

Thank you

In general I think that the hotel booking service on the site is the best way to find a room - but of course I would say that wouldn't I
It's true though, it's the quickest and easiest way to find out what's available and there's some real bargains to be found there.

If you're on a real tight budget the only option is a hostel like the Flying Pig.

Thanks buddy.

I tried using the search function on the site (which is a great site by the way 8) ) but couldnt really find any cheap deals. The problem really is my mate :D Hes never been to Amsterdam before and is adamant hes gonna turn up and someone is gonna give him a room for 15 euro's a night. I did this myself when i first went so i can see where he is coming from but id much prefer if we got accommodation sorted before we arrived : )

Thanks for the response anyways : ) much appreciated

AGAIN OHD; How the hell are you getting a €30 rate?!!

This is not the going rate for the High Season (April - September). The rates I'm paying for a single are €40 per night during the week of Queensday 2005. Up from €37.50 I paid last year.

Hotel Abba absolutely kicks ass. Great people, smoker friendly, great free breakfast and the rooms & shared bathroom/showers are kept nice and clean.

€40 per night is still cheap for a non-hostel room in Amsterdam.

has any one checked out utopia? 25 euros for a private room with clean shared facilities. Directly opposite the homegrown fantasy too.
