Steak was medium rare, nice and pink in the centre, perfection. :mrgreen:
If the steak is well rested, there shouldn't be a pool of blood under it, regardless of cooking time. Chefs fault, schoolboy error.

they cook the steaks in butter there, that pool on the plate is mostly brown butter

I like to get there around 4pm or so, as there is no delay then. You can sit, eat, and watch the place fill up. Another option is to sit at the bar to eat.

I was solo at a four seat table and offered to move to the bar when it got busy, but they would have none of that and let me squat a whole table. :o :)

Was there two weeks ago, arrived around 8:30PM and waited almost 2 hours to eat.

No steak is that good, neither is avoiding all the insufferable drunk dutch yuppie 'men' that are always there :D

You have to be there around 17:00 at latest, better 16:30!
And the longer you wait, the more Heineken you can have while watching the crowd. 8)

Has anyone tried the Bali sauce? I can't quite figure out what it is, but saw reference to sambal olek...
