According to representatives for HIGH TIMES magazine, sponsors of the 24th Annual Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam, the event will continue tonight with a scheduled concert at the Melkweg concert hall (Lijnbaansgracht 234), followed by a full day of the expo (including voting) at the Borchland (Borchlandweg) on Thursday, the final day of the competition. An additional voting station will be set up starting at 2PM on Thursday at the Melkweg, which will remain open until the beginning of the official Cannabis Cup awards ceremony at 8PM.

Organizers say that their interactions with Dutch law enforcement started over a misunderstanding about a permit application filed by the venue to host the event, a situation that lead to a clearing of the expo by law enforcement. The misunderstanding has since been resolved.

No attendees were arrested and attendees are not the targets of the police presence. Police entered the expo to ensure that all vendors were in compliance with tax laws and a 500 gram limit for cannabis that’s enforced in the Netherlands. Only one vendor has been identified as potentially over the limit, and if so, only slightly. Continue to check http://hightimes.com for the latest coverage of this ongoing global ganja event!

Email I got from high times. Basically they searched everybody at the expo at the time n took there gear if they had more than 5gs. All coffeeshops open as normal I think. But just be care if h have more than 5g especially if u have a judges Pass. But on the whole it's business as usual.

The Tahoe og from green place is fucking seriously good. Hawaiian snow is the worst thing I've looked at o far, shitty buds, no smell...must've given all th good bits out to judges.

Has Green place still got LA cheese at the mo' ? If so is that batch any good can anyone say ?
Also is Big Budha on the menu @ green place ?

I have'nt yet tried Green Crack (or white crack for that matter  ) as it was sold out when i went to pick it up, but have read some good reviews on here, is it a winner in ACD members eyes ?

It's all bollocks. Barney liberty haze was nothing special. If u got hawiian snow without smell u were lucky. It's just a shit smelling Mexican sativa type thing. Stand outs were the kosher kush. Kush dee. Tahoe. Kaligria. King kong. Outdoor Head band and I really liked the electric lemon from THseeds at the expo. It's a bit different. Has that familiar lemon haze flavour but a more full bodied truer longer lasting taste. It's wasnt the strongest but so so tasty. Oh and the silver cheese is dangerous. Great pick me up. Tarakola should have won hash comp. kaligria best overall for me because it's such a different flavour. Not to everyone's liking though.

One of the editors mentioned that when they blind taste tested the strains from the coffeeshops, T-Line from Grey Area and Kosher Kush from Voyagers were 1st and 2nd. I went to Grey Area but they had Liberty Enlightened as their entry.. also good smoke. I agree with the Kosher Kush - this was very pungent and strong smoke...! DNA really did a great job with this, and it stood out.

It is hard to remove the influence of advertising/promotions and still make it a public event. For its flaws, I am glad the overall best of categories are open for everyone to judge. It makes it a very fun event...!

There are still 4 categories closed to the public (seed company indica/sativa/hybrid/hash). They are now lab testing these entries. Interesting stuff... I'd like to see the numbers, as they said they were higher here than in the recent U.S. competitions.. Presently, Holland does have the best cannabis, apparently.

The samples we received of Hawaiian Snow were very nice. It was an early favorite until we found Kosher Kush. It didn't seem to keep very well, though. After a couple of days, (still in sealed bag) it turned very brown and lost its sweet smell.. Don't know why. Maybe because we carried it around and it was in and out of the cold a lot. If you check my pics under the Travelogues, you can see what it looked like under magnification.

Green Place was selling Buddha Tahoe OG on menu, their CC entry. It was very nice, though for me didn't stand out as a top 3...
