It looks like the bit you put between the BBCodes replaces the {IDENTIFIER} in the HTML. The rest is now hard-coded.

Can you do a new topic in FAQ called 'how to embed video in posts', or something like that, explaining how people can upload videos onto YouTube and post them like this please?

I'm guessing the tube will be pulling down clips that have copywrite issues, this could leave posts looking a bit of a mess.

Are there any other ways of embedding the clips into phpbb?

I have a small forum running on mybb as a personal online notebook, journal, database type thing and for embedding dropbox link I just had to copy the dropbox link and paste it into the forum post. I ended up with this



by just pasting this

It installed the media player plug-in and played straight from the forum page. exactly the same as the new youtube link way just implemented but without the need for youtube.

Without of course causing any security issues.

Does anyone know if this means instead of killing the sound on the track, youtube are showing adverts instead to create revenue to pay for the royalties?
