Interesting ganjoa, the bit where you heard the word Pineapple, which seemed to me when I was recently in Jamaica the word used by certain dealers who described their wares as pineapple skunk, who just did not appear authentic dealers,I had been tipped off to this by a fellow tourist who advised me just to sit back and watch, seemed to be a bit of a scam or someone was being paid off.Not that this could apply to the raid on the CC.An idle thought.
Secondly, the Eurozone seems to be in a mess at the mo,so I would imagine that any hard currency coming into Holland would be greatly received by the authorities, especially $ and £ being converted to euros,[was their not a UN report a while back that basically said that during the Lehmans/banking farce that the only hard currency was coming from international drug dealers.]Just started reading a book McMafia that I would suggest if you have time to take a gander at.
On a positive view one can be too immersed in the world of paranoia and it seems sensible from the authorities to once in a while look tough so they can say we keep an eye on things and can get tough when we want to.Things I would imagine will settle down, and on a personal note it really wants me to go to the next one now, solidarity and all that. The only raid that I experienced whilst in a coffeeshop was many years ago and the local cops were at pains to explain that this was customary and then gave me directions to a coffeeshop across town, lol, looking forward to my next trip probably in the summer.
