There's a casino near Leidseplein (Holland Casino). Not sure if they do sports betting or not though.

I may be wrong, but I was under the impression gambling was illegal in Holland apart from licensed casinos.

Fairly sure there was a thread a year or so back about some old fellas who got arrested for playing cards for money in a private house. The police were called after the next door neighbour complained about the noise they were making as it was ruining thier drug party. Someone may remember the details of this story.

If its football or horses you could always use an online UK bookies.

"yazza101", i like a bet now and again myself, but i'm not sure how using online accounts whilst not in the country where the account was opened in works and it may be best to check this out in case you end up in jail, or worse still .....they don't pay you out!!!
I know for sure if you put your lottery numbers on whilst in Amsterdam, they won't pay you out if they find out you did this whilst abroad. Can you imagine scooping the many times rolled over Euromillions jackpot and then they go tell you to go fuck yourself.
You'd be in need of a canal.

I was in Paris in the summer with a mate who likes a flutter. He has an account at Ladbrokes in the UK & would just phone them to place bets as & when he felt like it with no problems. If you have an account & can place bets over the phone, I can't see it matters where you are.
