Moderator wanted

Excellent! Looks like we've got two volunteers already and both seconded.

My vision for this sub-forum is as a place to talk about ourselves, each other and our real lives. That's why I think it's important that we keep it exceptionally polite.

Moderators have the power to edit and delete posts as a last resort but, more importantly, they can maintain a friendly atmosphere with their own words.

Regarding Balou and Cantona, Boner has already nominated them and, if they're up for it, we could put them in charge of other sub-forums. Boner suggested Cantona for Sport, for instance. As for Gapie, he already is our official greeter isn't he?

That's good to know but moderation isn't just about censorship. In fact, hopefully, it's not about that at all. It's about admin - merging or splitting topics, deleting double posts, moving topics to more appropriate areas and boring stuff like that. I also hope that moderators will lead their areas by reading all of the new posts, replying when they can, guiding and setting the tone.
Of course, everyone can do that and I hope they will but, by appointing someone as moderator, I hope to encourage them to take special care of their area.

OK. Twich already seconded you pre-emptively and nobody objected so why not. We'll have an army of moderators. Hope we don't need someone to moderate the moderators!

ok, while trying to get to sleep last night i was thinking about how i sort of offered to help out as moderator, then i thought that was quite cheeky of me really, as other ladies on this site have been on here years longer than me, post thousands more posts than me, are much more intelligent than me

i wish i would have said give LUVTIC, CATTALES, TUTTI, BLUEBERRY, WINNIE, HESTIA, ISLAND GIRL, first choice as they have been around a lot longer i believe

then RUFUS, ROLLING TO STONED, SNOW WHITE, GEEKY, and any other ladies who post more than me a chance, then if none of those were interested then of course i would have done it,

i mean i dont even know how to put a quote box on my posts !!!!!!!!
i havent a clue how to put a post somewhere else !!!!!!!
and i am usually too stoned to operate officially !!!!!!!

but if you still want me to do it then i will put some effort in and see how these quote things work, and see what happens when i press the new buttons we will get......( we could lose the whole site....LMFAO )
