Religion (not spirituality) is a crutch for weak people like Dense. Most religions have had some form of reformation, and in the west religion is not very important anymore. One day the fine people who practice Islam will realize it is firmly rooted in the middle ages. Every time I see one of the fine Moroccan-Dutch girls (in the hajib or a mini-skirt) I give her a nice smile. 9/10 they smile back. They know the deal.

I think the problem is with language Tricky, you use the expression early in your post "my people". What does that mean, to you?

That kind of phrase to me means "apartness", "the other" and more scarily "the unknown other" and I find it is used often by people who need to wrap themselves in some nationalist or spiritual shroud to create an identity for themselves.

When you proclaim your spiritual allegiance you are saying I am different. But in what way?

Too much religion in this thread, so just to put things straight, its a joke people, the bible or whatever your clan calls it is not real and interpretation only rings true with the weak, there is no Heaven, Hell, gang of virgins waiting for ya or anything, its just a book of control measures to keep its followers following. Religion seems to divide people more than unite them. The religious are some of the most intolerant bastards on the planet. What a farce, imo.
