....I hope this can help the worried and anxious: I have friends (both Dutch and non-dutch..but all stoners anyway ) who live in the Hague and Rotterdam..none in amsterdam. Anyways I was speaking to two of them who called me yesterday while they were blazing in Cremers (the best CS in the Hague..great hash, great weed...and great vibe..none of that amsterdamned vibes which some CS's give ya)...bottomline from them: there is no talk of the wietpass and no clear implementation of it on 1st January 2012...same feedback from the guys in Rotterdam whom I emailed about this too. So basically let's get real, it's not happening..period! Until a clear 'roadmap' is clearly outlined and enforced then CS's will not move which is basic common sense.

So go on and book your tickets until further notice...TIP for the future: Get to know as many dutch stoners as you can on your next visit to the dam and get their contacts = weed without a weedpass.

Or make vacation plans elsewhere like many many people will do if this lunacy gets implemented.
Copenhagen is a viable alternative for example.

While the manager of Toermalijn/Tilburg yesterday told me it starts in January 2012 in the provinces of Limburg, Zeeland and Noord Brabant the budtender of De Muze/Tilburg doesn't expcect it before June 2012, if at all.
So nothing new really except for more uncertainty. Only time will tell.

i always live in the east end of amsterdam and stay away from city centre coffeeshops. most CSs there havent enforced the tobacco ban yet so i cant see them kicking out tourists - christ the happy people coffeeshop let people bring in their dogs! the cool budtender loves dogs, i cant see them letting in dogs and keeping people out.

I was in Maastricht this weekend and nothing had changed. Some people from the coffeeshops told me that the ban maybe starts afer the summer but they don´t think so. The politic is not sure what to do because many cities are against the ban. They also told me that the international news only write bullshit about the situation. There was no final decision about the ban.

The video is from Ivo Opstelten the very same guy/politician who has come up with the proposal of the weedpass, so of course he is going to say it will come in for Amsterdam, He is going to promote his proposal, his policy change! Its politics. It is not his final decision for the weedpass to come in for amsterdam is it? That is down to local municipality, the Amsterdam Mayor, council, police etc.

I envision that certain places will be known in certain circles that it's the place to score while in town. No real guesswork there...
