Checked this out thouroughly before I booked 15 days in Feb/March 2012. After researching I booked and I'm not worried at all.
"In 2013, the ban will expand to the remaining nine provinces, which, of course, includes Amsterdam" quoted from article in the first link so either way you should be safe in AMS and most of NL

....I hope this can help the worried and anxious: I have friends (both Dutch and non-dutch..but all stoners anyway ) who live in the Hague and Rotterdam..none in amsterdam. Anyways I was speaking to two of them who called me yesterday while they were blazing in Cremers (the best CS in the Hague..great hash, great weed...and great vibe..none of that amsterdamned vibes which some CS's give ya)...bottomline from them: there is no talk of the wietpass and no clear implementation of it on 1st January 2012...same feedback from the guys in Rotterdam whom I emailed about this too. So basically let's get real, it's not happening..period! Until a clear 'roadmap' is clearly outlined and enforced then CS's will not move which is basic common sense.

So go on and book your tickets until further notice...TIP for the future: Get to know as many dutch stoners as you can on your next visit to the dam and get their contacts = weed without a weedpass.

The measures will come into force in the rest of the country - including Amsterdam - in January 2013

I don't believe this has any chance of coming in Amsterdam until 2015 at the earliest, and I'd be amazed if it did then.

The parameters for my next trip have been set by how long I can stand waiting divided by when I reckon it will get nicer, so that is Apr 30-May 07, no way is shit going to fall apart by then. They probably just need to wait out the current administration to get all this shit sacked, particularly as the science becomes clearer.
