Would i need for my trip to the dam. Going from sunday to wednesday arrive in the dam around 1.30pm on the sunday and leave wednesday afternoon Il be with a friend. Plan on smoking plenty of weed not going out drinking.?

I think you could easily get by with 80 euros a day and enjoy yourself.

- 30 for 3 meals at roughly 10 per meal (Wok to Walk and Albert Heijn are great options)
- 20 for drinks/snacks at coffee shops (most coffee shops expect you to buy a drink or herb to hang out)
- 30 for herb and hash (anywhere from 5 grams of decent to 2 grams of uber-dank)

Of course you can spend hundreds per day if you like. But I prefer to only spend on what I need or really want. You'll probably spend more on herb at the beginning of the trip and then be able to cruise on your existing stash towards the end. Oh and do yourself a favor and buy a pipe/bong and save your smoke. Or roll pinners (very skinny joints). I've wasted tons of herb smoking big fatties in the Dam. Lots of fun but a major waste if you're on a budget. 2 grams goes a long way when taking bong hits.

I allocate £120 per day when I can afford it, which breaks down to ;

2 Meals - Breakfast & Dinner
Breakfast is usually around €15 - Full english, 2 cups of coffee (Stones Cafe on the Warmoestraat where I can smoke weed without buying any and I always have some bud left over from the day before)
Dinner is usually around €35 - I enjoy steak and a couple of beers. But dinner can be got for loads cheaper.
Between meals I might snack could add up to €10.

Then there's the coffee-shops. I get up and around town around 11-12pm after breakfast. Now I like to buy alot of different samples of weed so I buy the lowest weight I can. But the weed I know I like I buy a €20+. So ill probably head towards 420 cafe after Stones, buy a €10/€12 of what i fancy have a cup of tea €1.50 and a smoke. After an hour or two and maybe a couple more drinks/smokes ill head out.

So say that averages out around €20 (15 for bud, 5 for drinks)

Now ill head to another coffeeshop, maybe get a snack on the way. Say the next coffeeshop is not so nice as 420 and they stick the menu in your face and you can spend a minimum of €20 - but you like this coffeeshop so you don't want to walk out. (If the menu is shit, the seats are shit, the music is shit and the general vibe is shit LEAVE) So this CS has cost you €30.

Then Ill go back to the hotel chill out, catch my emails, read the news etc and spend an hour or so just resting.

Then ill head out for dinner and to hit some fresh coffeeshops or bars depending on what entertainment I've got lined up. Lets say I have dinner, head to abraxxas and then go to a bar. €35 + €20 + €10

So to make this jumble make sense;

Breakfast €15
Coffeeshop #1 €20
Snacks through the day €10
Coffeeshop #2 €30
Dinner €35
Coffeeshop #3 €20
Entertainment €10

Total =€140 / £120

I've rounded up and obviously if theres two of you, you can split the bud buying if the CS wants you to buy. But if im skint I can easily make it around on €70 a day. You just have to alter your eating habit and try and have as much good free hotel/hostel breakfast as you can stomach. Buy a large drink from a supermarket, buy cheap drinks in the CS' and make them last. I also have a notebook that tells me exactly which coffeeshops I don't have to buy weed in to smoke and which bars I can smoke weed in. So if through the day i've hit 3 CS and each ones made me buy a 20 bag ill spend the rest of the day in CS/Bars that I dont have to buy weed in.

You can live on as little as 50 euro per day! eat/smoke the lot.
