Mmmm the bubbles are the remnants of the honeycomb texture , as i have started reliquifying after the results of vac purge  there may also be terpene bubbles certainly not trapped butane

I used to think that too Ron (no bubbles) but all I was doing was OVERpurging and ended up with tasteless oil , I think the trick is to distinguish between terpenes and residual tane

Or maybe its just not redundant enough? Change it to:

Cannabis Concentrates: Cannabis Extraction/Cannabis Concentrate

The bubbles were the result of a Vac purge, ok. First time seeing closeup pics of vac'ed oil.
The tiny bubbles that's all too often in my oil is mostly O2, but there are still remnants of butane. When I apply naked flame, it's like a mini fireworks display.
I know, I know, this is the reason why oil needs to be purged properly. But dab it, oh never mind...
As far as terpene's, tane's, and taints     are concerned, fuck if I know anything about that shit. Well ok, a little because I can read, and the taint, no explanation needed  But getting this deep into the weeds (no pun intended although...) is not conducive to my current state of mind.

Any recommendation for a purging system?
Happy dabbing...

Huh?
I thought we were talking about purging butane from oil, not cleaning the carpet...

Not sure what I believe yet tbh as I ain't an expert , and don't profess to be . I can only go with what I read , and what I learn through practical work

But thanks for taking the piss rather than educating me

True words. Now I will crawl back into my hole.

Only patience will get all the butane out as you probably know. CO2 works better but requires about 100K in lab equipment. We have two.

Have you tried pouring boiling water on your Butane extracted oil as the last of the gas evaporates? Sounds crazy but a very quick way to eliminate the fireworks. It also decarboxylate's the oil if you choose to ingest instead of smoke. But then again, I only have 633 posts since 2005 which means I am no expert.

It just sounded so convincing is all. You cannot over purge. I do not know what "tane" is. Turpines are the essence of the plant which create the smells in simple terms. You could only wash these out with lab grade equipment and many hours of processing(we do it and add them back as needed). Although BHO is strong and high in THC content, it is far from pure. And the cave way it is being done adds to this issue. See my post to bongdude for some advice to take or leave.

I work at http://www.organalabs.com Have a look if you dare. We use Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE).

Mm strange choice of statement "have a look if you dare" !! Lmao

I did "dare" thank you , very interesting stuff . Information sharing is what it's all about , especially when it comes to this uneducated fool

Are the terps not part of the flavour too ? So if all my theories are wrong what causes my oil to lose flavour ? As I say I was doing very long purges , and was ending up with tasteless oil , now after further information and a shorter purge I'm getting very tasty oil ? Previously it would retain the smell although not the flavour .
