Since the good old days of a sleepy Barneys coffeeshop opening fantastically early and serving the best selection of cheap breakfasts in Amsterdam are long over, I though I would share this find with you.
As a meat eater, there are plenty of options for a British fry up, but as a Vege, its no longer easy to find a satisfying fry up in the weed Mecca!
Although apparently far from the best Irish bar in town, O'Donnell's http://www.odonnellsirishpub.com/page/ offers a great Vege and meat fried breakfast, served from 11am on a Sunday. I sat and enjoyed a lovely big Vege fry up there last Sunday, four home made vege burgers(really lush!), 2 eggs, potato cakes, mushrooms, tomatoes and lashings of toast, buter and jam. All washed down with a couple of pints of Guinness whilst reading the latest English newspapers, in a friendly, welcoming environment. I was so happy to find such a fab Vege fry up (9 euros) I just had to share...
