Help with trip
Help with trip
Hi there just joined the forums. Me and my friend are going to Amsterdam for the day on the 10th and since were only there for a day what coffee shops and places would you recommend go and what other thing to do?
Re: Help with trip
Voyagers, green place and grey area all stock some nice stuff, also if your only going for a day a canal boat trip would be good as you can see alot of the city in a short time.tom246289 wrote:Hi there just joined the forums. Re: Help with trip
Speaking of maps, try the ones on ACD, http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8& ... 2&t=h&z=16. Great for trip planning as they combine coffeeshop reviews with locations.
If you are staying at the Victoria Hotel on Damrak, then Voyagers is pretty close.

Re: Help with trip
Thanks any specific strains i should try?
Re: Help with trip
Id try to hit Grey Area - that's always recommended! 420 Cafe /De Kuil is my personal fave. And lately i've been having alot of Amnesia haze or super silver haze when I can and appeflap's from one of the pastry shops
As for bud, have a chat with the budtender, its likely he/she can give you something suited to what your particular taste is at the time
And as you don't have long you can get a rail card for bus/tram journeys to make the commutes quicker. All the info you need is here;

Re: Help with trip
Also would it be easy to get lost seen as thoe its the first time?
Re: Help with trip
Everyone has told me its easy to get lost but there are so many places of interest to re-gain your bearings i've never had any trouble. The way I used to do it was remember how many canals id crossed, or aim for de rokin/damrak. Which are sign posted well, and the train station is at the bottom of Damrak so you can't go wrong.
But before you go just remember roughly where the Nieuwmarkt, De Muntplein, De Oude Kirk, Dam Square are and you shouldn't have any trouble as there are signs all over Amsterdam for these places and once you get to one you'll know roughly where centraal is.
Also check your return train platform on arrival to save time on the way back.
Space cake - oh yes! Make sure you sample what you can! A vaporiser loaded up with your favourite sample will put a smile on your face too!
As for a bit more info for the CS' around the Damrak personally (remember its 99% about your own flava) id have a search on here about the following CS' see what you think;
420 Cafe
Grey Area
Centraal Coffeeshop
Voyagers - has been renovated and seems to be getting alot of buzz on here lately!

Theres so many in that area though i could go on for a while haha
