He is against landmark Civil Rights legislation, etc. etc. Just another tea bagger with a few good ideas, imho.
Marco he is about the American experiment. The media spins him in bad light media because they are part of the military-industrial complex and they stand to lose their corporate welfare checks when Ron Paul becomes President! Our constitution irons out its own kinks in the end. Follow along if you would please.

RP believes in the freedom for someone to run a business how they want. If someone wants to exclude someone from doing business them for whatever reason its their business to run well or do shitty. Because all men are created equal, and Dr. Paul only is basing his "stances" off our constitution...he would NOT HAVE VOTED FOR Jim Crow Laws!! The ACTUAL bill in 1964 wanted to make it illegal to run business that exclude people. The difference? Ill guess a country club that REFUSE SERVICE to rift-raft in can make 1-5 million a year off rich racists. McDonald's on the other hand servers 64 million a day, so even if each customer only spends $1 theyre doing over $6o million more in one day. Giving tons of people jobs, many of them great paying.

Everyone here so far seems to just be repeating what press has been saying. Maybe I'm just talking to the cloud? Are there real people behind all this ASCII??

Marco wrote: I am sorry, but you really believe that inflation is horrible? Its very low, in fact its Germany's...
US still has federal military branches in Germany. It was a way to pay/offset giving people who protect us (cops/firepeople/nurse) raises! I was referring to US inflation rate. Marco we print money when we need more. You don't have to be the head cashier at Walmart to figure out that tends to screw with the economy a bit.

I actually agree with Marco on this one. Though I'll probably vote for Paul in the Republican primaries, then vote for Gary Johnson at election time.

Yep, including Ron Paul. He is against 'earmarks' (special interest $$ added to bills) but load his own bills with them.

I am having trouble following your arguments. First off, the Constitution did not state all men are created equal, that was the declaration of independence (following in the footsteps of John Locke). The Constitution did state that black men were worth 3/5th of a white man, and completely approved of slavery (otherwise a number of southern states would not have signed it). It was not until the 14th Amendment that slavery was outlawed.

If Mr. Paul believes that a business can simply do what it wants, then he is, imho, a dangerous radical and unfit to be President. On two fronts: first of all, unchecked business can be a significant negative force (pollution, child labor, etc.). Secondly, I find it inconceivable that you support the right of any business or institution to exclude persons from working or visiting it based on their race, creed, color, etc. The Civil Right legislation Mr. Paul would have voted against took my country (kicking and screaming I might add) from its nasty racist past into a slightly better place today. The legions of minorities who obtained rights and opportunities through these laws stand in testament to that.

Its fine if you want to be a right-wing Republican. Just don't think for a minute that since Paul is for legalization that he is anything but.

FYI, Jim Crow laws were exclusively state and local. I can assure you if Mr. Paul wanted to be elected to dogcatcher in Kentucky in 1964, he would have voted for Jim Crow laws.

You're right about declaration/constitution. I must have been high and mixed up the titles. Mixtakes happen we are all human. Those two facts are such a stark contrast! Looks like we had some things correct, and some incorrect from the beginning! My favorite past time is being critical of my shitty government! I'm lucky enough to have this freedom because my ancestors were smart enough to recognize that King/Queen shit is stupid.....or did they just go where the money is?
If Mr. Paul believes that a business can simply do what it wants, then he is, imho, a dangerous radical and unfit to be President. On two fronts: first of all, unchecked business can be a significant negative force (pollution, child labor, etc.).
That is the equivalent of propaganda. A business now can do what it wants. Be rude to a waiter, and get spit/shit on/in your food. Offices dont hire interviewes who show up "thuggin" or over-pierced. All the regulations in the world didn't do shit for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. (FUCK BP!!!) Children labor has never been a problem in America that I know of....why pay a child next to nothing, when a much more able body adult can do much more for next to nothing. Wal-Mart treats women employees much worse than it does men. It has been proven. Personally I don't shop wally world because this and other reasons.
Its fine if you want to be a right-wing Republican. Just don't think for a minute that since Paul is for legalization that he is anything but.
Again, he is not for legalization he is just trying to be one of the few men upholding the constitution. A PLANT THAT I FUCKING GROW FALLS UNDER THIS:
4th Amendment:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Thanks for labeling me as right winged republican. Lots of negative connotations there. My fucking avatar is a Caricature of a typical right winged republican bigot.
FYI, Jim Crow laws were exclusively state and local. I can assure you if Mr. Paul wanted to be elected to dogcatcher in Kentucky in 1964, he would have voted for Jim Crow laws.
FYI, You're words: It was not until the 14th Amendment that slavery was outlawed.
Mr. Paul would have said "This is unconstitutional under the 14th amendment" you can't have these laws change them NOW!
I know...i know.....all politicians are crooks. I too once could not understand public service. Then I served, and now I do. Just trying to share knowledge Marco.

Red, we are debating...don't take it personally, as I did not call you a right-wing republican. I did call Ron Paul one.

Regardless, it looks like Paul will come in 3rd in Iowa, so its all moot.

Not a US citizen but follow the election with great interest. Much as I appreciate Paul's honesty on the insanity of prohibition he is the candidate I would least like to see in the Whitehouse. His economic policies would send the world into a dangerous prolonged depression.

His views on Government spending make Merkel's grim Euro-moneterist treaty look Keynesian.

Another bad argument here.
To vague for me to really understand what the poster is trying to communicate. All that is communicated to me here is he is NOT US citizen, and means no offense. You sound under informed on the big picture topics affecting America I'm sorry to say like many US voters too.
I always got the felling that the world views us trying to police them and doesn't want us there. We want to switch from war & restrictions to peace, business, and no one trusts us? I guess I could see how that could play out...

The media makes us look like this:
"America! Love it or leave it!" fuck yeah!!

a new generation of Americans want this:
The constitution is the law of this land. Here are our boarders. Follow the laws we as a republic have set forth or face imprisonment. You are free to leave if you seek other governing. Here is what we have for sale :D would you like to trade or buy with something you make well? :D :D

Am I wrong in my understanding that the USSR at its core was a finational problem? When there is long standing evidence that communism (neighbor has 4 cows; neighbor has 0 cows; government takes away 2 from 4; now everyone has 2 cows; more like now everyone has 1 cow while corruption is rapid am I right? This is what has happened because we follow a "newer set of laws" that really make our original set of laws set in the constitution null and void.... basically making us another country......which we dont want to be, we want to be America. Yes.....still...

One "international argument" my fellow stoners is to ask you this question:
Would Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin, or other famous people in their time be able to compete with all the stupid crap MASS MEDIA reports on?
IMHO It would just be some other story. There can still be great people in our day. Its not hard to recognize the errors of our ways. I think we're at a point of exhaustion, and need a little time. 8 years should do the trick, I honestly think if we take an honest attempt at the "best & brightest" approach we can have the whole fucking world rich again in 8 years. Shit is not hard to do, you just have to work instead of marching in streets.

You are quite right-wing, without a doubt. As for calling someone else under-informed...you may want to reconsidering PWS (posting while stoned)...at least he asked a question.

Anger usually means you're losing the debate.

I don't see 1 question mark in there????????????????? nor do I see a typo where he typed a question but put a period on accident. You may want to reconsider threats, PWS, and inventing lame Internet acronyms.
Yup, you're losing.
Marco, I'm not normally on the offensive, but I really must insist that you do not tread on me. Let us have civility while we debate? Im just as poor and humble as the next stoner. Implying that I'm dumb while I'm stoned means you don't know the true affects of marijuana and have also fell victim to the drug, as well as political propaganda of the day. That or your just TRYING to be an ass. I have disclosed I'm campaigning here in hopes of a butterfly effect to be perfectly honest.

I feel compeled to remind you that we had a US Fighter jet drop bombs on Libya. Without declaration of war. All of which is extremely illegal. That is a proxy war, similar to the way we ran one popularized in the Tom Hanks film "Charlie Wilson's War"

We both know I could go on for hours about all the things wrong about US, but I'm trying to use this thread as a means of campaigning as I've stated earlier. Our first attempt at "Change" failed. It didn't make us worse off, but it still isn't quite what this new generation is looking for. Not the worse thing to ever happen he will go on to collect his pension, get handshakes for a job well done, and even escorted to the door without having to lift a finger to move any personal effects.
Adamster wrote:what america needs is an other party
I AGREE!!!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Paul
Political party:
Republican (1976–1988, 1988–present)
Libertarian (1988 Presidential Election)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libritarian
It's funny because most of America was probably to high on cocaine in 1988 to worry about understanding the constitution.
