Afternoon Tea in Amsterdam , any recommendations ?

Post by Cisco »

As the title says I'm looking for information on afternoon tea in Amsterdam  I have done some research and most of the big hotels do one (well a variation on it , not quite the same as say The Ritz London) so can anyone recommend which hotel does the best ?

Thanks all

Sofitel the Grand, next to Greenhouse Centrum, has a good high tea. You might want to book in advance as it can be very crowded.

Peace

The American Cafe/Hotel on Liedseplein is always worth a coffee and a piece of cake, if only for the atmosphere and interior.

The High Tea at the Kras is very nice, especially if you get a window seat overlooking Dam square.

No high tea does not get you "high"

Nothing to stop you going baked though  which I personally think is essential

Unfortunately not!
The picture on the page linked below is a typical High Tea.
It's pretty much how it looks at the Kras too.

It was a joke, of course I know High Tea doesn't get you high. :D Thanks for the extra knowledge though. Cisco, I think you've now given me another thing to do, when I go to Amsterdam next. Do the dutch drink Earl Grey. I like that as a cuppa. Or is that like cheddar cheese and not cool in Amsterdam.
