Post by BlueStarHaze »

If you havent already heard, there will be a BIG SMOKE OUT in Amsterdam this 420!

A peaceful protest aginst the new, discriminating laws which are being forced on the Dutch and international cannabis tourists!

Join us in April for what could be the last chance to enjoy the freedom of Amsterdam on 420.

The event is being organised by Peter Lunk, a medical cannabis patient from the Netherlands, and is being sponsored by anumber of coffeeshops.

Please come along and show you care!

Find our facebook page and more info here:

Please do not go to this people , this march will do more harm than good . The mayor of Amsterdam is behind the coffeeshops as he knows they don't cause a nusance , but how's it gonna be if you have thousands of people converging without the proper permissions from the city ? I would say that's gonna cause big problems for Amsterdam and will do more harm than help IMO

Edit ! Seeing as some people must think I have influence  you are free to think for yourselfs (as I'm doing) and please attend this event if your behind it , and if your not cest la vie

I know the Hotels and Coffeeshops would be happy to see thousands of people! That tourism bump would also help define the financial situation associated with the weedpass system.

But, personally I'd prefer sending the financial implication message by trying to get everybody to go this year on their own schedule. Super crowded coffeeshops associated with massive protests or certain holidays just aren't worth the trip cost for me.

Cisco, I am not sure why you are encouraging people not to show their defiance peacefully and show their support to the coffeeshops.

The smoke out will be 100% peaceful and is officially supported by the Dampkring, with Nol van Schaik shouting the cause round the rest of the netherlands.

Your post surprised me, considering the name of this site, and the reason why we are meeting together in Amsterdam this 420.

Where did you find out that the correct permissions have not been obtained from the city? Wasnt aware you were involved in organising it too

Come along guys, to a peaceful smokeout on 420 in Amsterdam and show your support to the coffeeshops. It could be the last 420 you can enjoy with freedom to buy and smoke Cannabis as a foreigner in the Netherlands.

We would love to see you, check out facebook for the huge community that is growing by the day:

I will certainly find a coupla-eight other locations to celebrate 4-20 than at THE stoner protest. My time in Amsterdam is too precious to go out of my way to stand about being watched by the Politie.

Nee. Nee dank je.

And FUCK Facebook.

I may not be involved in organising it , but I do know coffeeshop owners who Mr Lunk has been contacting and have been assured that none of the permissions etc have been applied for never mind granted , I think that would go against the whole ethos (permission)

I think there are better ways to support the coffeeshops than causing trouble for the city of Amsterdam

Thank you come again

I wish I was going as I'd be there.

Gixxer, it's about supporting the coffeeshops, you know those places that you go to Amsterdam for.

Fuck knows Boner , but I know what causing a nuisance will do for the movement  isn't that the whole point that the justice minister is trying to make ? (that tourists that come to buy smoke cause a problem/nuisance)

So surely thousands of people converging and causing problems for the city of Amsterdam is just playing into their hands ? (if that's the right expression? )

So when did you need permission to protest??? If you weren't given permission would you not protest??? Isn't that what a protest is about.

If I had a spare $5000 dollars I would be there in a heart beat. Amsterdam is a special place. Everybody that possibly can, needs to fight to keep it just the way it is now. Beautiful!

Gixxer, Fair enough but the majority of us go for the freedom to be able to buy and smoke and if the weedpass comes in then you wont be able to do this, the weedpass is a very real thing.

I find it quite sad you feel how you do.

Cisco, isn't it our right to protest? I (like 99% of us) dont know what the laws are in Holland regarding protesting and shouldn't jump to conclusions, I've asked Peter Lunk to join the forum so he can give his views.

Why are you on a Coffeeshop Directory if you couldn't give a fuck about them?
