Join us for the 420 Smoke Out in 2012!
Re: Join us for the 420 Smoke Out in 2012!
I will suggest protest signs with the clear and short message "I am no harm to Netherlands" and something like in dutch.
At Albert Hijn i think we can find everything to make our signs!

The mayor of Amsterdam is behind the coffeeshops as he knows they don't cause a nusance , but how's it gonna be if you have thousands of people converging without the proper permissions from the city ? I would say that's gonna cause big problems for Amsterdam and will do more harm than help IMO
Edit ! Seeing as some people must think I have influenceyou are free to think for yourselfs (as I'm doing) and please attend this event if your behind it , and if your not cest la vie
pretty much what i said on a post ,however, i see you have said it first...i totally agree that this will be used by the cda et al to "prove" what a nuisance the mj tourist is. i was there in 2008 and they had a march to protect the red light windows and coffeeshops. as much as i agree i do believe that we are probably in the minority and such a march will just garner more ill will. i am in favor of more punitive or offensive/defensive measures in the fight to protect the rights of the minorities. passive stuff probably does little good as it just makes it easier for the ones who would oppress us(out of respect to spidergawd i will substitute this phrase for the offending term) to push us aside. if the 420 march is one of our big sticks to fight the battle then i guess goodbye coffeeshops and i will see you in september Hasj and gapie ..and you too slip and sal so i can have my proper punch in the face)

Imo there is nothing wrong about your point of view. My biggest concern are false flag moves by the dutch cops, i.e. some undercovers dressing up like stoners and then act loud and violent. This would give the cops a reason to be more aggressive towards protesters. Also the way of news coverage will be an important factor in the final outcomes of the protest.piedpiperofvice wrote:pretty much what i said on a post ,however, i see you have said it first...i totally agree that this will be used by the cda et al to "prove" what a nuisance the mj tourist is. i was there in 2008 and they had a march to protect the red light windows and coffeeshops. as much as i agree i do believe that we are probably in the minority and such a march will just garner more ill will. i am in favor of more punitive or offensive/defensive measures in the fight to protect the rights of the minorities. passive stuff probably does little good as it just makes it easier for the ones who would oppress us(out of respect to spidergawd i will substitute this phrase for the offending term) to push us aside. if the 420 march is one of our big sticks to fight the battle then i guess goodbye coffeeshops and i will see you in september Hasj and gapie ..and you too slip and sal so i can have my proper punch in the face)

So am I, but I think a demonstration still represent a good way to communicate with the majority. obviously you have to provide yourself first with good communication tools to be forceful like idk flash mobs, flyers wrote according to the target.piedpiperofvice wrote:i am in favor of more punitive or offensive/defensive measures in the fight to protect the rights of the minorities.
By the way, in addition to the mentioned blacking, what do you have in mind when you talk about "defensive measures"? I'm interested.

Could sound paranoid but I'm concerned too. Maybe not by the cops but wilder's bullies or neonazis. I think everybody have to agree that we must be the first to stop agitators, first speaking (could be some real angry stoner, seems possible to me) and then acting.

The only one I can think of at the moment is the previously mentioned idea of helping the coffeeshops survive their loss of revenue so that they are not swept out of business and have their wonderful locations essentially stolen from them.mrdcotor wrote:So am I, but I think a demonstration still represent a good way to communicate with the majority. obviously you have to provide yourself first with good communication tools to be forceful like idk flash mobs, flyers wrote according to the target.piedpiperofvice wrote:i am in favor of more punitive or offensive/defensive measures in the fight to protect the rights of the minorities.

I have been involved with this, trying to help Nol and Peter in anyway I could. Has my own concerns, but these 2 guys plus help from various people around the globe. There isn't going to be a march now as they have already won the fight, so now its going to be one huge party! I'm proud to have been involved, even if it was a small part, but thanks to these guys we can all continue to enjoy this wonderful country and coffeeshop culture. Myself and my buddies will be partying with Nol and Peter, this will be an epic trip! So, even if you were against this protest, you have to agree they've done a fantastic job. Not just for us tokers but all the CS owners, staff, surrounding business etc... I salute both Nol and Peter...

Its a compleate outrage that we even have to think about doing things like this. But i do agree it may cause more harm than good. More so if people turn up under the influence of alcohol. Live and let live i say. Its the c/shops and hotels thats going to lose buisness and so then the dutch economy. Stand and be counted in a peaceful way.

actually thats what we think happened with the Occupy movements when the riots broke out. We think they were sheep sent in by the GOP (right side) to make it look like there a violent bunch.Quazer wrote:Imo there is nothing wrong about your point of view. Re: Join us for the 420 Smoke Out in 2012!
Just wanted to say, when I put fight, I didn't mean it as a battle, in no way would I join or condone fighting or causing harm anywhere never mind dam. I'm a married man with kids. Sorry if I came across as if I were going to turn up and start fight/battling. I just want to be able to visit holland when ever I want and visit the cs, as I have always done, in a peaceful respectful way! I wasn't ready for a battle andd never will be! Everyone is of course entitled to their own opinion, I'm not here to argue either. I'm looking forward to this trip more than any other. 1: 3 of my best mates are coming 2: Relief the CS aren't going to turn me away. 3:Nol and Peter have helped me a lot with contacting certain person who, again have been a huge help personally. 4 Could be my last trip ever! I wrote the last post from my hospital bed, waiting for bio rersults. As I said, I'm happy they've won the CASE (fight) to keep the cs open for us all, that's all. I've got my own personal battle/fight to deal with and hoping 420 will be a huge part of my recovery...
Keep safe, peace

Re: Join us for the 420 Smoke Out in 2012!
That's what I'm asking !? Is it specifically something Nol and Peter have done that's stopping this ? Or are they just now confirming what others have said/thought ?
In no way am I trying to diss these two blokes as they have done a lot for the Cannabis community , but when myself and others gave a different view to the majority we were shot down and virtually attacked , but now after confirmation that what we were thinking is actually the case !!!
