Part of the skin graft has died, so she's gonna possibly be facing a slow recovery with a gaping wound, or a second skin graft
Might know better next week when the dressings are changed again.

Saw the plasticsurgeon today and as I am pretty much the same as far as no walking goes.. the wound seems to be bit better... Hard to tell, but there may be new skin under the nasty looking graft material, and that is good news.? The bad news is I am still not out of the woods, and will indeed take quite awhile to close..
Happy the cancer is gone and I look forward to riding my new Batavius Bub by 4:20...
MY goal...
Thanks everyone for the kind wishes.

I am finally allowed to begin a bit of walking today. Starting with being able to put my boots on, and that made me smile. It will still be a few months till the wound completly heals, and due to it being below the knee makes the recovery much longer. But the cancer gone.. Just noticed sunbeds are illegal in UK for under 18, they should be illegal for everyone.. Any skin cancer is bad. I am luck my problems are from squamous and basel cancer, but because of light skin and eyes the chances go up for potential melanoma, which metastasis much quicker.. Any skin cancer is potentially deadly. The disfigurement from removal is not pretty either..
It is great living and working in Amsterdam..
Looking forward to seeing my friends this Spring....

Hey tutti,
As the saying goes, those boots were made for walking...
Awesome to hear you are progressing well.
I look forward to seeing you, next month perhaps...
