We're moving

Slimline is moving us to a new server. I don't understand all of the details (hopefully he'll post a better explanation here) but I believe it'll stay as coffeeshopdirect.com/forum but will be on a new machine. I've got access to the new machine and I'm busy applying all of the mods (header, chat, countdown, polls, etc.) to the new install. When everything's ready we'll transfer all of the data across.

There will be a short interruption, hopefully only half an hour or so, during which the forum will be locked. I'll let you know about that nearer the time.

Quite busy with Lem at the moment getting new server ready.

We'll probably be trying to switch over on Monday. The forum is set up on the new server and all of the mods are in place. Peter will copy the data from the old forum and convert it onto the new one. Then he'll point the coffeeshopdirect.com/forum domain at the new location. At least, that's my best understanding.

I've got copies of the mods on my PC and FTP onto both servers at the moment so I can put re-directs, message pages and so on onto wherever anything is pointing at.

The forum will need to be at least locked during the move because otherwise any posts made after the snapshot is taken would get lost.
