Boring for just two people?

Post by joossy »

I have been Dam many many times, quite often in groups of 4-6 people and its always been a laugh a minute, and a brilliant time. On the occasions i have been with just one other person I have found it a little boring, you go in buy your bud, smoke it then its like.... bored now? How many interesting conversations and laughs can you have with just one other?

Maybe im just getting old at 32! but if a group of 6 of my mates wanted to go I would jump at the chance to do it, but just one other i now think it will be boring.

Anyone else feel the same?

I don't like big groupes... max 4... and certainly not just men...

But like you, i don't really enjoy being with just one other person (except with my girlfriend)... And i actually love lonely trips :D

i've only ever gone with one other person, couldn't imagine a largegroup, that might be a little hard at times... i prefer the company of just one, that way i'm only bailing on one person for free time too... lol

He is a little boring...

But in all seriousness, any two people over three days would get boring no? Maybe its me not being able to relax and chill enough. I've tried to be a connoisseur of weed and hash to stop being bored but it doesnt work as i just get the same stone off everything and it all tastes the same too

I have my own business as well so maybe that makes me not as compatible with relaxing in dam as people who work for companies can.

I don't understand this. I know plenty of people who own their own businesses that can relax in the Dam.

I've always wondered if this is a true statement.... "If you're bored, it means you're boring."
Usually travel solo to AMS. But I like my company, and I have my reasons.
Someday I may even mingle in a CS

I said "maybe" but your right it cant just be the business, maybe guilt at the leaving the wife to look after the kids and business!

It may sound stupid but this thread and the responses are helping me to get my head around it all, because like i say i dont know why i cant just chill and relax!

My worst trips to mokum have been in larger groups of 5 or more... Where everyone gets so baked, they cant decide what to do.... You know, you ask where they want to eat and they reply.. " I dunno" or which coffeshop shall we go to next... " not bovverd" ... I get angry at indecision.

The most fun ive ever had, is travelling solo, and meeting ACDers....oh, and going with a chick.

Yeah i think there is some truth in that statement  I like my company too even if i do bore myself sometimes

Thinking about it more, maybe i just feel guilt at going on holiday without the wife and kids...

I seem to come alive in a group, im a control freak, love making decisions so its perfect for me leading a group of stoners as everyone follows because there so baked! I always do my research so we have a great time

I gotta agree with dwiggins about being bored/boring. I can generally keep myself amused. Flying solo seemed to suit me best in the 'dam. No one to question which route I am taking on the bicycle or if I have been chilling/spacing out somewhere too long.

I had a great time with a lady traveling companion who didn't smoke, but we were working a music conference and spent chunks of time doing our own things. When we did get together at the end of some days, we would start drinking at the hotel's bar (Velvet Huxley- you guess the hotel,) which would usually neutralize me pretty quickly...
I may be stoned, but don't take me for granite...

I can relate. That's why I won't be taking any Dam trips for a while and then they'd be with the family.
