Johnny Otis, "Willie and the Hand Jive," has passed. He discovered such talent as Etta James producing her first hit, "Roll With Me Henry!" as well as Jackie Wilson, Hank Ballard, and Little Willie John. He was also an influence for Little Richard and covered by Eric Clapton. Any artist who recorded under the name, "Snatch and the Poontangs" deserves a special place in history!
