Hello Hestia,
although we don't know each other I can clearly tell what a lovely person you are and what you have done above, although hard, is for sure the most loving thing you could do.
I send sincere wishes that Larry's passing over is peaceful and painless and that afterwards you are given the strength to continue to enjoy your own life.
You've many friends and 'family' on ACD ( particularly Gapies 4:20 rumblin' tum ! ) and certainly many others too who will be thinking of you.
This evening I'll light a candle and burn some incense for you both.

hestia, i really feel your pain and know exactly how you,re feeling at this moment as we as a family had to make the same decision for my sister after she was left brain damaged due to a bike accident.
i know we,ve never met, but id just like to say that both my wife and myself were deeply
moved by your words and our thoughts go out to you and your family at this sad time.

i cannot get you out of my thoughts at the minute, i couldnt type my message earlier for tears .....

i have been in a similar situation and had to agree to switch off a life support machine, and i have to say it was the hardest thing i ever had to do, so i can understand a bit of your pain right now.....
