BigDanHaze reporting from Amsterdam Feb 9-21-2012

Post by BigDanHaze »

Thursday, Feb 9th 2012:
Long 11 hour total travel time from U.S. but it was made better when the plane over to AMS was only about 25% full! So, got to relax in economy with noone else in my aisle. Lotsa people were stretched out in the rows sleeping, kinda like a ghetto first class and even free beer!

Only got to two coffeshops today:
Paradox
Just as I remember from last year super chill and relaxing. The younger tall guy was working, he is very friendly and helpful. I bought:
Amnesia Haze
This was pretty good as usual. Nice taste. Good high but didn't last as long as I woulda liked. Give it a 7.5/10
PPP
No Idea what this is, neither did the dealer. It was ok a mid grade indica type high and a nice green taste. Over all not bad. 7/10
KD
Hate to say it but this is the first actually bad weed I ever got here in the more than 15 times that I have gotten here. Taste chemically and would not burn. Sad thing is it was pretty strong effects but felt chemically to me.
Kandy Kush
Nice Kush taste and effects. Taste was Kushy but light. 7.5/10

I am definatley going back here but gonna wait a few days to see if they rotate stock or maybe get some hash. Worth it for the atmosphere especially for those who just wanna chill and not party hard.

The other shop I went to was Rokeri IV in the Jordaan.

LA SisterPretty sparkly bud tasted good like a nice hazy flavor. Effects were good for about 30 mins or so. Over all good bud. Pricey 13.50g, 8/10
AMG: Really good bud. Best by far so far. taste very strong hazey, fruity taste. smoked smooth and expansive. 12.00g, 9/10

Just for fun heres pics of the frozen canals and skaters!

It's a website full of photos taken by Schlijper, hover above the picture and you'll see an arrow. Click the arrow and you can view a new picture. Keep clicking and you'll find the picture I posted.

I'm not a local, but Googling revealed this website: http://www.watermansport.nl/schaatsverh ... ticulieren or at the rink on Museumplein.

Went to Riks museum. Great experience, lots of unique paintings.
Got lost, been here 6 times now and still end up lost everythime.
I think what I do is get really high on the Sativas and start thinking "Im barely even buzzed" and proceed to leave the shop on my way to my next destination and then Boom! I'm really high and Im really lost.
I also saw a young dutch kid who had set up a hot chocolate stand out on the frozen Prinsengracht canal. Camera batteries were dead by this time. :(

Rookies
Nice shop with several tables and a nice wooden interior. Budtender was helpful and cheery.
Looked first at the Rosiha (a ssh hybrid) a past cannabis cup entry I had been wanting to try.
It was just small buds in the tub looked shyte. Same issue with all but the Amnesia Haze (I think) that I purchased. Sat at the window street watching the street.

Amnesia Haze
This was pretty bud, looked well cured and crystally, sadly thats where the good stuff ended as it was chemically and smoked badly, very little buzz. 6/10.
Overall: I'd say if your younger this would be a good shop to chill in. Try the bud maybe I just came at a bad time or end of batch...

Dampkring 1
Cool wooden exterior that continues on the inside. Hot and decently friendly female budtenders. Busy shop, especially compared with the local shops close to my apartment. Again sit by the front window to smoke and had a hot chocolate which is very tasty. They give you warm milk that has a stick with a lump of belgian chocolate on it Wonderful!
Never been here before but I did like the one on Haarllemerstraat and always wanted to try the original

G-13-Amnesia
Nice crystally bud. Great haze taste. Good buzz but a little short on longevity.8/10
Habibi Rifman Hash: Great stuff pic and description posted above.9/10

Kadinsky
Just a buy n fly from here. Budtender friendly and showed all the bud I wanted to see. Didn't see the sitting area. They had Dr. Grinspoon for 12 euro so I was like heck ya let me see that, um.... yah it was a block that much favored many block of mexican brick weed I saw in younger days. Apparently this is the trim off the plants the budtender said was picked up and bricked. He claimed same buzz. I passed.

Exodus Cheese
Good smelling fruity, skunky and cheesy. Tasted the same way it smelled. Favorite tasting so far. Effects were strong and had a medium length of buzz time
Image

trans himalayan hashGreat stuff Nice soft high quality black hash. Minty and smoked very well. Easy to roll into joint sausages. 8.5/10

Whelp, I'm out of bud so I'm off too 1 E Hulp. Also gonna try to find some Dr. Grinspoon or Quaze. Will report again when I get a chance.
