Hey catt, look what me and the mrs bought ourselves for Valentines day. No kidding . It's 40 years old and goes like a dream. We used to have one way back when the kids were young, and this year me and her are going to do some touring.



Folly or fun ? time will tell but I'm a pretty handy aircooled bodger. It will be sprayed orange and cream very soon and then it will look sweet.

OMG! I am so jealous of that van! I have been looking for one for a while now. I had a bettle bug when I was in high school and college. I loved my bug but I want a van for a hobby now! It looks in great shape also! congrats on that.

Sorry catt I hijacked your lovely STD thread, but I couldn't help it. There is a "what car" thread but well, we did get it Valentines day.
This is a UK one but when I was looking around I see there are a lot of US/California imports over here, as well as Aussie and SA. The climate is kinder to them than ours is.
Anyway we'll swing by St Louis and pick you up on the way to the wild Highlands. .

Oh I dont think of it as a hijack! I love the fact that you posted it here since VW bugs and vans are a passion of mine. My hubby must love me too cause I got a bottle of Baileys With caramel! hehehe. I made him homemade chocolate covered strawberries.

But, our Valentines day celebration went like this.

February 13

me: "Oh, it's Valentines day, Happy Valentines day honey."

him: "It is? Really? Happy Valentine's day."

February 14

me: "Ooops, I was actually wrong- V day is actually today."

him: "Yeah, I kind of thought so, but I thought it wouldn't be nice to argue."

There's lots of romance in our relationship, but we're not much for observing specific holidays.
