Who here likes to have uitsmijter when in town and where do you recommend getting it. Many years ago I used to go to http://www.pannekoekkelder.nl and they were lovely and need to go back and see if they are still good. The last one I had was at the Pancake Corner overlooking the little green with all the lizard statues just off the east edge of the Leidseplein. But where is best? Where do you go?
If you are wondering what uitsmijter is, it is basically eggs on bread with various other toppings like ham, bacon and cheese.

I've been meaning to try Latei, as I've heard good things about them, including their uitsmijeters. If I'm not mistaken I think uitsmijter means bouncer, as it's a traditional end of evening food to serve your guests when you want to kick them out.

That definitely looks interesting. Perfectly located for a nice breakfast then a short wander to Voyagers

Cafe LeGrote on Haarlemerstraat, makes great breakfast and you can smoke weed here too, WIn Win!

this come from my good friends wife the grew up in Amsterdam Cafe Gruters , he took me there for a hangover breakfast 3 years ago my 40th, cant remember exact location but its around the museum district, google it

I do eat eggs and Bert's omeletes are as good as his sandwiches and that's saying a lot.
