Walking the streets of Amsterdam you quickly notice a Wok restaurant on every corner.
After reading sub-par reviews of these places I swore to steer clear, but when I stumbled upon Wok to Home... something was different.
I am a sucker for un-pretentious restaurants (aka "hole in the walls") that serve amazing food and this place fits the bill.
Dont expect a classy atmosphere or fancy decor. The entire place only has 3 wooden tables but they serve up some tasty grub.
Its a family run joint, with the old man doing the cooking and man does he know his shit. I believe he is straight out of China and has been cooking for what tastes like 1,000 years.
The meal is a build your own for around 5 Euro and you will probably have to take some home because the portions are huge.
Comes with your choice of noodles or rice, vegetables, sauce and extras (add whatever you want, costs about 0.50-2 E per item).
I highly recommend the szechuan spicy sauce (if you can handle spicy) or the black bean sauce.

Hell yeah, this place is the goods. I don't do Wok2Walk anymore, the food is too saucy, overcooked, and too much noodles/rice compared to meat/veg. The dishes tend to be "generic asian", a mishmash of what Europeans think Asian people eat (typical ones like sweet and sour/soy black bean/thai green curry)

Wok2Home is much better, relatively authentic asian fast food, ridiculously fast (as wok cooking should be). Once or twice I've been the only person there, and my food was almost ready by the time I put my wallet away and sat down!! I usually go for noodles with beef, broccoli and Sichuan sauce, kicks ass.

So am I!!Escpecially since the best authentic asian (but not only) food is to be found in these places 9 times out of 10!!

In french we call this a "Boui-Boui", didn't know the expression in english BTW

Loads of places like this (mostly vietnamese) in Paris' Chinatown, the 13rd district.Dirt cheap, no frills, fine fresh food, big portions,extremly quick service.

Don't judge Canada, it was not only about sex, there was some real feelings between us.

I ate lunch here today, spring roll , fried rice with beef and a drink = 10 euros

I visit Wok to Walk every trip but it always seems to fall short to me. Next trip I'll def be visiting here instead. Thanks for the info everyone
