College Basketball/nba thread

Any other fans out there?

I lived in North Carolina for awhile where college basketball is the state religion. I got hooked then, but there's no one to talk about it with here!

I haven't really gotten into College Basketball since I lived in Michigan, MSU was my home team. However, this a perfect opportunity for some pic lolz.

MSU will always have a place in my heart. I guess that's due to Magic playing for the Spartans when I was a kid. Maybe I'll get into March Madness this year.

u of m is a good school but most u of m fans i know are homers. talking about past glories all the time. im mainly a fan of their football. i knew a guy who played te for the buckeyes under woody hayes

Funny, since I was born an Ohio girl, I cheer for the Buckeyes as well, unless they are playing Duke.

I'm from a classic North Carolina mixed marriage- my husband was a Dukie and I'm a Carolina girl by schooling. The resulting identity crisis has been tough, but these days I'm mostly a Duke girl, but I still cheer for Carolina when they're playing anyone else in the ACC.

how do you feel about georgetown or u of maryland? you guys are rich with basketball power schools out there!

I live in KY and I went to UK. Been to many games. Wildcat basketball is huge part of my families life. My work schedule even revolves around UK games.

While I was at Carolina I cheered for them- and they have super cute cheerleaders.

If you like cute cheerleaders, Duke IS NOT the place to be.

Love the Hoyas though, hard to grow up in DC during the 80s and not respect the Hoyas.

There are men in the US who schedule their vasectomies to coincide with the NCAA tournament, so they can take full advantage of their down time to watch all the weekend action from the couch. Can't do much else beside sit on your ass and overload on hoops and skirts. I think it's a brilliant plan.

In North Carolina opening weeking of March madness is a holiday for everyone. They even tend to show the games at school if State, Duke, Wake, or Carolina are playing.

"If you can't go to Duke go to Wake.
If you can't go to Wake got to State.
If you can't go to State go to hell.

Go to hell Carolina, go to hell!"
