how do you feel about georgetown or u of maryland? you guys are rich with basketball power schools out there!
Love the Hoyas though, hard to grow up in DC during the 80s and not respect the Hoyas.
yea you must hate u of maryland like i fucking hate the u of oregon ducks.
being a hoyas fan in the 80's ..remember when john thompson threatened to kill rayful edmond III (big dc cocaine lord in the 80's). apparently he took objection to him hanging out with his players..esp alonso mourning. always thought john thompson was pretty cool.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Now this is my kind of thread...I eat, sleep, live and breathe basketball. Moreso into the NBA, but now I live on tobacco road, so UNC, Duke, and NC State are all over the place.

Yay! for March Madness. You can get all the games via internet stream over here, so make sure your hotel has wifi. (The nice thing is that if you can't stay up all night, you can watch the games the next morning, and it's easy to avoid spoilers in Europe.)Trouble13 wrote:Grew up in Indiana - now thats a basketball religion statei have played my whole life and got a scholarship to play D1! love the sport....now i coach and train kids. every march madness i never miss a single game!!!! this yr tho i will be in the Dam for the first couple rounds.....not sure im that mad about it haha but maybe ill catch a couple games on my computer late late!
So totally off topic, but where do you go for barbeque, and do you know about La Vaquita? I miss eating in the Triangle- best food in the world there, and this is coming from someone who lived in Paris.CesarJeez wrote:Now this is my kind of thread...I eat, sleep, live and breathe basketball. Haha, if NC is mentioned, it's not off-topic at all. The Pit in downtown Raleigh is my favorite spot, but you really can't go wrong anywhere around here. There are some great mom and pop places over around Holly Springs and Garner too. I need to get over to La Vaquita sometime for sure, I just try to avoid Durham at all costs unless I'm heading to see Duke, the Durham Bulls, or a concert.geekymonkey wrote:[quote="

I love Durham (the dirty D) as all my friends call it. As such, Bullocks is my first choice for barbeque- but the Pit was delicious too. I will say that the food at la Vaquita is well worth the trip up 15-501. Best. Food. Ever.CesarJeez wrote:Haha, if NC is mentioned, it's not off-topic at all.
