12 hours is nothing on a bus. I would gladly do 1 pound/euro whatever bus trip instead of a 1800 dollar, 24 hour plane trip like I have to.

Thats my feeling as well. As Im still young I am fine with it. The money I save makes it easier to stay for another night.

Are the cheap £1 fairs only from London or something as the nearest bus station they run from near me is Manchester and all the prices from there are £25.50 each way?.

I, randomly, have decided to opt for this service in October.
Does anyone have any recent reviews to share?
You know, before I book...

If your on the south coast you can take you pick of transport! it took us about 10 hours just to drive to alton towers from here.

Looks like the £1 each way to Amsterdam offer is back on with dates running into December. Found a seat going for £1 but nothing coming back. But yep, sure is just from London those £1 seats. From either Liverpool or Manchester the prices are £27.50 each way to Amsterdam. But if your clever and crafty you can get the prices from Liverpool and Manchester to Amsterdam down to £8.50 each way by doing the deal to London separate allowing you to get the £1 London to Amsterdam deal.

These are British buses we're talking about - I'm 6'1" and couldn't actually fit my legs in. US long distance buses have a much larger seat pitch. As other have said here - never again.

There's this interweb thing and Google maps - it's great. Trust me.

I'm looking at going on a coach next April, it's about 16 1/2 hours from where I live. But it will really be a cost than a change from a flight factor at the booking time. As if I can get an under £5 fare going against a £35 for a flight then great, coach gets me there for opening time in he morning but the flight more like tea time and the saved cost a good 2 grams of bud!.

Never done the megabus to amsterdam, only done eurolines/national express.
Even though they are more expensive, after getting the megabus nteenth times from london to manchester and back while at uni, i would rather spend a bit more money for a bit more leg room.

I got the megabus to Amsterdam when I moved. The fact they are overnight is nice, but it is kind of ruined by the fact they make you get off the coach on the ferry, kind of interrupting sleep opportunity =/

On Tuesday I was idly checking prices for December, and I was very, very tempted by the fact that I could have got the coach out on Tuesday 10 December and back on that Saturday for £1 each way on the day route. Mokum for less than the cost of north London.

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly when my next trip will be, what with the wretched cat needing pills again, and when I do make it over I'm hoping to get five days or so; doing the killer journey both ways for only three seemed too harsh to be worth it. When I checked the next day, it was £15 for both coaches. But if you are after the £1 fares, it looks like you should scout round your dates about two months in advance.
