still hot after 40 days

I guess my metabolism has really slowed down...I stopped smoking for an impending piss test...had been smoking steady for the last 12 years, stopping ever so often to enjoy being straight and have been smoking the best that AMS and the East Coast has to offer...I had always heard that 30 days was enough to detox the system if you sweat a lot, drink plenty of fluids, etc.....not the case...took 2 of the home tests that check at the 50ng level and both came back hot...one at 27 days and the other at 30 days...now I am reading it may be 60 days...holy shit! just thought I would share in case someone else was thinking that 30 days was sufficient

30 days is usually enough. It really depends on weight and metabolism. The fatter a person is the longer they hold the metabolites they check for.
So, you did take a new test at 40 days? That shoulda been plenty of time..Have you been around other smokers while they burned? Maybe second hand smoke?

like big dan said, metabolism and size are important factors when it comes to removal of drugs from your system, anywhere from 15-90days

One way to raise your metabolism is to gain lean muscle. THC is stored in fat. Regular exercise should help you gain lean muscle, and thus raise your metabolism. Actually doing exercise wont make you clean (burning fat where THC is stored can't hurt) but having more lean muscle will speed up the time in my opinion. It wont be by much, for example if it ultimately takes you a full 90 days to get clean, with regular exercise it might bump it up to like 75 days instead.

Have you tried the dilution method? Drink 1-2 gallons (2-4 liters?) of water before you take your at home test.

Thanks everyone but facts are facts...I am not overweight, I work out, have muscle mass, etc...as you get older< (I am) your metabolism slows plus the potency of the herb is now stronger than it was when all the studies were done...I fell victim to the misconception of the 30 day rule and just wanted to pass that along...I am not a "heavy user"...I do 3 bowls a day (less than a half joint) sometimes more...all the literature appeared to be in my favor. However, the THC content did me in...I am not complaining, I enjoyed every toke...it just takes longer than the studies and arm chair docs had lead me to believe...I have not taken another one but will by the end of the week, plus I have some Protox and some Magnum Detox for the day I do have to take the dreaded test

up date: took another test at 50 days and the line was dotted, meaning that the presence was detected but it was below 50ng...I hydrated until my urine was clear then took the test...I will take another at 60 days...hopefully will be clean enough to pass a test...I have avoided taking the test by lying and saying I had already taken it, knowing that it takes 15-20 days for admin to catch on...I am trying to really identify the times for my body to detox enough to pass a test...60 days sounds excessive and it is if you can't wait to catch a buzz again...I believe that smoking everyday and smoking potent pot will find you outside the norm and unless your metabolism is fast, unable to piss clean...that being said, I can't wait to be unclean

there is alot of detox stuff out there that does work. The one I used was Called Detox I think.

4 aspirin a day could be dangerous too. bleeding problems to say the least. I had never hear this one scully. where did you see that?

why bother with all the quitting for 60-90 days? Works overrated anyways....

Just take a small vial (pill bottle) etc have someone who is clean pee into it, place one of those handwarmer things on the bottle, put down pants, pour into the collection cup and wallah for sure clean test, no quitting and no worries.
