As I'm going to have a bike trip this summer around the NL I'd like to know rules about bringing bikes on the train in case of rain. I read you can buy a 6euro ticket that is valid fot the day and that there are not restriction for hours in July and August. what I'd like to know is where I buy bike tickets and if in amsterdam there is a specific entrance for people that want bringing bikes on as I've never seen anyone into the station with the bike and wouldn't like having stoned kind of behaviour, don't know if you understand what I mean :D :D .

No special entrance. When I took my bike to Zandvoort 2 years ago I just walked it through the station as I have seen other people do. You can get the bike ticket from the machine. I believe it was under supplements. I wish NS would have kept the web demo, made things so much easier.

Peace

On either side of the steps to the platform is a groove for getting your bike up and down.
They look like little rain gutters next to the steps.

Enjoy
