Since I can't be hanging out at de Kuil this Friday afternoon, I am definitely going to this shindig near Austin City Hall. I am hoping there'll be some sort of mass display of civil disobedience. Now, if I could just get invited onto his tour bus.... :lol:

On the local hippie, liberal NPR station, I just heard 'Roll Me Up & Smoke Me When I Die' by Willie with Kris Kristofferson & Snoop Dogg!! Snoop is singing and not rapping! Seek that song out- it is a hoot!!

Nice turnout yesterday, although the air was way too clear for such an auspicious occasion (the true stoners were just across Lady Bird Lake at the ragga festival.) Willie did, in fact, play 'Roll Me Up & Smoke Me' in front of his freshly unveiled bronze image.

Here's the best I could get of Willie and a couple of the statue with Kris Kristofferson.

Just got back from my first trip to Austin, loved it! It was Sunday night, a little 'quiet' but we found a rooftop bar open with a band and had a very good time. Can't wait to come back!
