I haven't bought weed off the street since then and it's the only way to get high for foreigners. The 'niards aren't sharing any of their homegrown, so I had to settle for some mid-greens.

I depart Barcelona early sunday morning to Madrid to watch the Merengues take on Sevilla. I am honored that you would extend such an invitation to me and I would check-out of this motherfucker in an instant to hop on a train to Tarragona if they hadn't scheduled the match so ridiculously early.

That's a nice, chilled place fr sure, away frm the hassle of the Costa Brava...real lolcal vibe there, and an excellent saltwater fishing spot!!One of my close friends has been staying fr years in the campsite there every summer.

I've bought on the street in a couple of places...Caribbean islands...NYC...but spent 2 days walking around Barcelona with my wife, don't think I was offered once...at least not in English, I guess...Lots of guys making clicking noises, but right out in the open on Las Ramblas... While they were trying to get my attention, I doubt they were trying to sell me weed...If I remember correctly they had something in their hands, looked like coins or tokens, wrapped in plastic?

If it was on Las Ramblas it is a very good chance it was weed, I bought there a few times, usually decent stuff.

Las Ramblas is probably the pick pocket/mugging capital of Europe. Be careful and whatever you do, do not go down an alleyway with a dealer. You are unlikely to emerge with all the possessions you had when you entered.

Problem is that petty theft (up to a value of €1,000) is not a crime in Barcelona, it's a misdemeanor, punishable by a very small fine. The thieves have their own patches and the local police are generally unsympathetic to victims.
