Ya had me hoping there but sadly this is dated "Friday, September 14 2001"

Yeah there were a few around at one point, never even really heard about them until recently, so sadly never managed to visit one.

  Nol does seem to be a massive proponent/activist, so wouldn't surprise me if he'd get involved again - but I suppose at the moment probably too busy fighting the Wietpass - sure I saw him post some stuff in the big topic about it here before having to justify it several times, sadly doesn't seem he's been back since, sure he could bring a lot of useful things here.

There might have been a chance some years ago , and a half dozen places lasted a while with some local tolerance (Worthing had 2) - had the Lib Dems negotiated it , we could have had some trials after the last election.

I am constantly thinking how nice it would be have some places in London - it would complement the city so well , especially in places like West London , Soho , Camden etc. No chance !

Well, I was just hoping this story would come true
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ ... ghton.html
Green councillor calls for cannabis cafes in Brighton
A Green Party councillor has called for Brighton to become the new Amsterdam of Europe by decriminialising cannabis.
But then, sadly I think they also realise that it may not happen for quite a while if at all, what with the current politicians little bubble they mostly seem to live in:
“Nonetheless I expect to be misunderstood,” he added. “So I predict the following headline soon: ‘Green Councilllor calls for Brighton to be the Pot Capital of Europe'.”
