Yes I remember it Willjay, we didn't get the coverage over here we would nowadays but by 1970 I had been to the USA a couple of times and had even heard Timothy Leary speaking in Cambridge Mass. although I hadn't dropped acid at that time so hadn't a clue what he was rambling on about
. However, yes I was tuned in at that time to what was going on in the world and I do think that day does deserve to be remembered as I'm sure it is.

And I was a CSY fan also
. N came later.

Yeah lets keep some balance around here

And I've got respect for people who choose to serve in whatever way they can. It was a bad time and I'm glad the hard soviet style communism got pushed aside. I'd also been to Eastern Europe and it was bleak for everyone but the chiefs.
Protest is healthy for a country, and often I think, the consience and a restraining hand on the power junkies at the top.
