Priceline/Hotwire bidding. Post winning bids here

Post by treetop »

Please include the price, the date, the hotel and previous bids, counter offers and any other details you think are relevent.

Right now I'm going through a bidding process with Priceline. Once I make a winning bid I'll post a real recent winning bid and the details here.

It can be very useful to know what price wins and WHERE it wins when you are Priceline bidding in Amsterdam. It enables you to avoid the booby prize - Movenpick. A lovely hotel but out on a limb. Literally!
How much did you produce?

Alright dudes, firstly a big thank you to matty223 who turned me onto priceline when we met back at 420; sir you may have prised me away from 15 years of my beloved Greenhouse Effect and hostels as I bagged a 5* for about the same price!

We won the NH Barbizon Palace for three nights Nov 7-10 for £67 a night ($108)!

First bid £52, then the missus bid £57, no joy so upped our bids by a fiver today and the wife won second time.

You'll really fall in love with the service if you bag a smoking room at the Grand amrath for about £70-75 a night.

Your local coffeeshop is Voyagers and they have an indoor swimming pool with stars on the ceiling. They also have bath tubs big enough that even I could drown in one of them

Did I mention all this in one of the city's best preserved art nouveau buildings. A joy to wander around if you are into lovely architechure The only better one I know of in Holland is the big department store in Den Haag city center.
How much did you produce?

Does anybody have a link for the UK. When I search it only has set prices and no opportunities for bidding. Am I doing it wrong?

Thanks

So having been successful once we are trying to book again, only now it won't accept separate bids from myself and my wife?

On our first attempt we were able to bid twice in 24hrs by changing name, email and payment card but retaining address.

Now it says: "We were not able to process this request since our records indicate you have already made a request for this same trip."?

Has anyone else experienced this and is it a change of the rules?
