Inntel Hotel Amsterdam Centre (formerly Golden Tulip)

Post by Big C »

Anyone ever stayed here? This is where I booked for my 4 night stay because it had good reviews.
Seems it's in that little courtyard across from Betty Boop CS?

Alright place big C,stayed a couple of years back here, missus liked it,standard really i thought,,porn on the tv i remember :) ,me and the wife booked up again here for july, tried to hit us for 23 euro each for breakfast though, think were paying about 90 a night, like staying in this area,so many shops to choose from,Bettys,De kuil,Anyday and Utopia all nearby, was here in february and always liked Bettys before but not so much this time, weed and service at Utopia was way better, check it out if you haven't already, opens at 830 too for an early puff, enjoy your trip buddy,

Thanks embraman! I can't say that I have tried Utopia before but will now on your recommendation. My plane
gets in early on that Sunday and if I can't check in early, then I will have the Hotel lock up my bags and head over to Utopia.

It wasn't worth visiting before to be honest Big C,decor is still a bit minimal but the change is that there are now friendly folk running the place, caring about what they sell, and even though i was over earlier this year and enjoyed the smoke, the menu is improving too, check the review thread out,i'm back in a month and i'll be in every morning, enjoying an early toke whilst smugly watching all the locals going to their work, enjoying the stares from the straightpegs, definitely worth a visit.Enjoy your trip

Hello Big C,
The Inntel hotel is a pretty decent and modern hotel which means unusually for Amsterdam's centre it has lifts and decent stairs and the rooms aren't all tiny.
It's where my parent's stay when they come to visit which I guess is a pretty good endorsement.

Looking forward to seeing you at Utopia.

Looking forward to visiting Utopia nel z! Yeah I'm sure it's a good hotel, probably won't be in the room too much, but
I really don't want to squeegee away water like I did at The Plantage(LOL). I'm glad you touched on the "stares from the straightpegs" Embra. I like the small outdoor sitting area at Amnesia and I swear when my cousin and I were there last year, the disdain from locals walking and cycling by was palpable. I think of those looks when I read about the weed pass bullshit and how the Dutch don't want drug tourism. I can picture you seeing that and still smiling going about your business, so that's what I'll do, thanks.
