So quite a few places which should suit most people,
I should add that no way do I represent this company but I have found it useful in the past.

You can get apartments in areas not served by hotels, and I like the feeling of being more of a local, tromping back to the flat with my baguette sticking out of my shopping bag, maybe even munching on the torn-off butt end. You meet the local landlords, and pretty much anyone else you see in your building is a resident. You can make your own meals, have a fridge, wash and dry clothes, even bring in a -ahem- working woman.
Extended stays can net lower rates in an apartment. Dealing repeatedly with the same person, Paul for example, can have its advantages as well.
Don't make me go on.
Of course there is nothing wrong with hotels,if you are stuck you are stuck,Apartments seem to give you that bit more freedom,it just seems that apartments are a bit more smoker friendly,eh at the end of the day it is up to each person to make that call, the weed pass and hotels seem to go together, apartments seem to be that liberal attitude that individual Dammers relate to.This is course just my opinion.Nimrod wrote:Nothing wrong with hotels. Had to finish off my last stay with two nights in a hotel. It had been a while, since x-mas 2006. Hotels can be damn convenient.
and ain't that what it's all about? finding the style and place that suits your needs!Willjay wrote:I always stay at a hotel, I'm an COOT and don't want to clean the dam place, don't want to make or clean up after breakfast, I want fresh clean towels every day, I like having a desk clerk to answer questions and deal with problems knowing the dutch language, my hotel room has a covered balcony for my smoking pleasure
Always wanted to do a house boat myself, nearly did for my next trip. But reading reviews for many it seems my 6 foot hight and 16 stone odd weight would probably be a little to much as the beds are both small and fragileworldcitizen1723 wrote:
I will be there for three weeks - would go absolutely bonkers if i was confined to a hotel room for that long -
really excited as we got a houseboat this time around. WOOT!!
lol! well, maybe we won't be so happy!! though the reviews on this boat are stellar - think (hope) it will be great, had to reserve it almost a year in advance to get the time we wanted. BUT you are right, one definitely needs to be under 6 foot to deal with the kitchen!Dave J wrote:Always wanted to do a house boat myself, nearly did for my next trip.
