Pre Rolled joints

Post by remczar »

Hello,

I am coming to Amsterdam only for 2 days and I would like to try many different strains rather than buying a gram of one strain and smoking it the whole day.
My question is, is it possible to get a joint rolled out of the strain of my choice in Coffeeshops in Amsterdam or are they mostly already rolled out and you don't have the coice if it comes to a strain?

Thanks

Some coffeeshops sell only "weed joints" and "hash joints" - there might be anything in these. Then there are coffeeshops that sell "weed joints" as well as pre-rolled joints made with specific strains, but usually only 2 or 3 different ones.

Plus, with pre-rolled joints, you really NEVER know what's actually in them and how much.

There are also coffeeshops that will sell you half grams. "half gram" might be useful input for the forum search. i *think* Paradox does this. I've also recently seen a menu picture that said "minimum sale €2,50" but I can't find it right now.

Unless you can find shops with the smaller deals, I'd get 6-8 grams and go for it ;-)

Yeah, avoid pre-rolled joints. They're overpriced and you can't tell how fresh/good the weed is or how much tobacco there is. I'd recommend getting a cheapo grinder(4 euro max) and something like this: http://www.grasscity.com/us_en/rolling- ... te-tm.html . You can roll a fresh joint in less than 2 minutes flat even with no rolling ability or complete butter fingers (a folded notecard or business card helps, though.)

Never bought a pre rolled, probably never will but if I had to I think I'd chance grey area, after a quick chat with Gapie regarding the contents

From what I recall when having been with friends buying them in the past is that yes you can find popular strains as a pre-rolled. But they do taste harsher over rolling your own. I guess a lot of pre-rolled joints use all the leftover end of batch bits left in the tubs that would not really sell.

In case you can't roll :
You can buy 10 cones in a pack at a headshop for like 2-3euros.

Paradox sells premade 5euro bags of all their strains.

Voyagers does 10euro bags , maybe even half grams idk .

Grey area does half grams.

La Tertulia has 5euro bags

Club Media has a range of prerolls , incase you REALLY insist on prerolled joints.

* NOTE : All of the above coffeeshops are A or A+ Quality , dont just jump into any coffeeshop in the center or at the redlight districht . Please do some research at the Coffeeshop Reviews forum ;)

Wow, thank you guys for all the replies.
The only reason I was considering buying pre rolled, was to try as many different strains as possible, but form what you're saying it doesn't make any sense.
It's good to know that is also possible to get half grams - this is perfect for me :)
I don't have any problems with rolling myself, I do this all the time so this is not an issue.
The main problem is that I am going with my wife, and she doesn't smoke much, so everything I buy, I'll have to smoke it ;) cause I don't want to take anything on the plane back to Berlin :) and I don't want to throw it away either.
@RvanSteensel: thank you for the tips regarding good coffeeshops, these are the only ones I'm aiming for.

The thing is that when I buy sth in Berlin, there is no real choice in strains, so being in Amsterdam I want to try and check some by the name ;)

Thank you again guys.
