Hi, going for the 14th time in six weeks.

Just wondering where you all reccomend when you want some serious sweet munchies.

I go with my gf now, and we've never really tried any cakes, waffles, ice cream, pancakes etc in Amsterdam.

Any reccomendations welcome.

For breakfast try Royal Bagels & Muffins (Prinsengracht 454). I really loved their homemade cake.

Wiily's Waffles at Albert Cuyp market, white chocolate and m&m will have you drooling like homer

Nice big chocolate choux pastry like things at Albert Heijn, and lovely vanilla/custard slices with pink icing

and whatever you do don't buy anything at Renee's (sp?) on Damstraat, they will mug you, seriously avoid

CORNEILIUS ON Elandsgraacht is my personal favorite....They also sell peanut m'ms everywhere :O

Anyone tried the pancake bar on Warmoesstrat or the ice cream parlour on Harlemstraat?

If you happen to see this place... Rene's... pop in and buy a chocolate brownie and a fudge brownie... that shit will rock your world.

for sweet things i would go for metropolitain deli, near bottom of wormoestraat. coffee in mugs (need to ask). love their poffertjes, they make high quality chocolate at a decent price and on a hot day their homemade ice creams are divine (they will allow you to test a few before picking a flavor if you ask. and if you get served by sarah youll go back everyday..
