Bike path routeplanner.

Post by spidergawd »

Brilliant, I've been looking for one of these for years, I think it's quite a new site.

http://www.fietsersbond.nl/fietsrouteplanner/

So I might give it some use soon I reckon :D :D 8).

What a long strange trip it is.

Nice. Google has also just upgraded Google Maps to provide bike path information.

http://google-latlong.blogspot.de/2012/ ... urope.html

"Helping cyclists navigate the bike trails throughout those countries proved hugely popular, so we’re wheelie excited to announce that starting today, we've also added extensive biking data to Google Maps for Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In many of these countries we are also enabling biking directions in beta mode."

"Biking directions" is also available in NL:

"Biking directions are now available in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom."

And about the Google maps thingie: The current version of Google Maps for Android does not support the bike path layer yet. But it does allow you to download map segments so you can later access them without internet access. Amsterdam can easily be downloaded in one go.
